Firearms Amnesty
On Monday 23 February 2009, a letter explaining the concept of the three month amnesty which commences on 1 March 2009, is being forwarded to all Firearm Licence holders in New South Wales. Included will be either a list of registered firearms, or a notation on the list indicating no registered firearms attached to the license.
License holders have been requested to advise this office in writing, if any discrepancies are identified and return in the reply paid envelope supplied.

A copy of the 'Frequently Asked Questions' list which will be available on the Firearearms Registry Website under 'What's New ' is also provided for your information. These are questions that we anticipate, will provide relevant assistance to our customers.
An Amnesty Information line (1800 803041) with a dedicated team to operate, has been set up and will be available for assistance with incoming enquiries.
